At Firefly Family Dentistry, we proudly offer same-day dental crowns using the advanced CEREC® system. Restore your smile with precision-crafted, natural-looking crowns — all completed in a single appointment.
A dental crown is a durable, custom-made restoration that covers and protects a damaged, fractured, decayed tooth. Crowns are designed to restore the tooth’s strength, function, and appearance while blending seamlessly with your natural teeth.
At Firefly Family Dentistry we only use the highest quality materials for your crowns including Porcelain and Zirconia.
At Firefly Family Dentistry, Dr. Matthew Sandberg and Dr. Katelyn Stine will recommend the best material based on your tooth’s location, cosmetic goals, gum health, and budget.
How Same-Day Dental Crowns Work
Thanks to CEREC® (Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics) technology, we can design, fabricate, and place your crown in a single visit.
Here’s what to expect:
Digital Impression
No messy impressions needed. We use advanced digital scans to capture a precise 3D model of
your teeth.
Crown Design
Your crown is custom-designed to match your bite and surrounding teeth.
On-Site Milling
Using a strong yet esthetic porcelain or zirconia we craft your crown right here in our office in one appointment.
Placement
Once your crown is ready, Dr. Sandberg, or Dr. Stine will place and adjust it for a perfect fit and natural look.
With same-day crowns, there’s no need for a temporary crown or multiple appointments — you leave with your final restoration the same day.
Caring For Your Dental Crown
Maintaining your new crown is simple:
Brush and floss daily, just as you would with natural teeth
Avoid biting on hard objects ( like ice or pens )
Wear a nightguard if you grind you teeth
Keep up with regular dental cleanings and exams
With proper care, dental crowns can last 10 – 20 years – sometimes longer
Whay You Might Need a Dental Crown
Dr. Sandberg or Dr. Stine may recommend a dental crown to:
Protect a cracked or weakened tooth
Restore a worn or broken tooth
Cover and strengthen a tooth after root canal therapy
Cover a misshapen, discolored, or cosmedically flawed tooth
Complete a dental implant restoration
How Much do Dental Crowns Cost?
The cost of a dental crown varies based on the material and complexity of the case. We work with most insurance plans and offer flexible financing options to make care more accessible.
